The Water Line 1/700 gunship kit series expands with the arrival of the modern Japanese Navy’s FFM-1 Mogami. Mogami entered service on April 28, 2022, ushering in a new era for ships of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). This is the first ship of the eponymous Mogami class, which received a new FFM classification, signifying their status as multi-purpose frigates (FF), including for mine-related tasks (M), and having advanced stealth characteristics . The rear flight deck can accommodate a helicopter and operate drones. The space under this platform is equipped for minesweeping.
