This boat was built at Fisherman’sWharf in San Francisco and received the nickname of Monterey.Artisans Italian immigrants / Sicilian Bay San Francisco modeled the Monterey from the Latin felucca sailing a traditional boat transport on the Mediterranean, with the changes required for the installation of a gasoline engine .
This version of 1928, which was the owner Angelo Ghio, has all the characteristics of a true Monterey.
Some thousands of these boats were built in 1910-1950 and some still browse.
The hull, deck and cabin are assembled with wood pieces precut laser.
All deck fittings are included in the box.
Electric motor drive.
